Times have changed a lot with the ever growing increase in the use of technology. Social skills are diminishing and trying to figure out if a guy is into you is more challenging today than it ever has been before. So how do you figure out if a guy likes you? Below is a list of the top ten signs he's completely into you.

1. Body Language

Sometimes it can be difficult to figure out if a guy really likes you or if he's just being nice. It's never fun to flirt with a guy you think likes you only to discover he likes someone else. That can completely kill a good friendship and cause all sorts of awkward moments thereafter. To avoid this problem, simply study his body language.

Guys naturally gravitate toward women's chests. It's just a guy thing. If he however, makes eye contact with you and focuses on your face and not your chest then he's honestly interested in you and not just a good time.

If he tilts his head to the side and maintains eye contact while you speak then he's definitely interested in what you have to say. Watch for signs of crossed arms or legs. These are subtle signs of being guarded and he's not really comfortable around you.

2. Texting

If you can't read facial expressions than how can you tell if a guy is into you through texting? Words can easily be misinterpreted on the digital screen. Maybe what he typed was meant to be funny but you took offense by mistake. This can create all sorts of problems. Luckily there is an easy solution to bypassing all of the confusion.

If he makes time for you and doesn't blow you off, he's interested in spending time with you. By asking non-essential questions outside of work or school shows he's generally interested, but if you find yourself waiting over half an hour for his reply, he probably went off and did something else, revealing he's not that into you.

3. Dancing

If you finally got that hot guy of yours to ask you to that school dance or out for a night on the town, you might be a little nervous to go dancing. How close should you be? How can you tell a guy is into you by dancing?

As a general rule of thumb, the closer he wants to be the more interested he is (i.e. using any excuse under the sun to slow dance). If he maintains a respectable distance, he's being more than just polite. He's just not that into you.

4. Romance

Some guys are only after one thing: sex, and unfortunately it can be difficult to tell until it's too late. Use your best judgement but if things seem to be moving much too fast, don't be afraid to slow it down a bit. If he honestly respects you he'll match your pace. If he's just after sex, he'll get frustrated and bored waiting and eventually he'll move on.

5. No Interest

How to tell if a guy is not into you is easy. Throw out your best flirty moves and if he's not interested he either won't notice any of them (or he'll pretend not to notice). Guys don't ask questions usually unless it is a means to gain essential information. They just don't do small talk.

So if you try asking him questions about himself and he replies with short answers and blows you off, there's one telltale sign he's got better things to do with his time than spend it with you.

6. Playing it "Cool"

While most would agree being silent is a sign that a guy is definitely not into you, some guys like to play it cold either out of fear of approaching you around your friends or in an attempt to look "cool". It doesn't necessarily mean he's not into you it just means it might take him longer to come around and approach you.

7. Paying for Things

Does he ever offer to pay for things for you? If it's a brownie and you're first date together it may not mean he's into you but maybe instead he is simply being a gentleman. However, if he continues to insist on paying for things for you it is a strong sign that he is completely into you.

By asking non-essential questions outside of work or school shows he's generally interested, but if you find yourself waiting over half an hour for his reply, he probably went off and did something else, revealing he's not that into you.

This could be anything from school lunches, dinner dates, drinks, or even paying your way at the mini golf course. Keep a watchful eye for cues as to whether or not he does this with other friends or if it's just with you.

8. Social Media

Not everyone uses social media to communicate but guys do not normally send out requests to be a girl's friend unless they really like you.

Now if he adds you just to add you and you hardly ever hear from him then you can safely assume he is just not that into you, but if on the other hand he begins interacting on your page (like scoping out your photos and sending you pokes on Facebook) he's showing interest in your life and who you are as an individual.

9. Focus

Guys naturally gravitate toward women's chests. It's just a guy thing. If he however, makes eye contact with you and focuses on your face and not your chest then he's honestly interested in you and not just a good time.

Be sure to watch where his focus lies in order to determine his level of interest. If he stays focused on your chest more than your eyes then drop him like a bad habit and move on.

10. Being Protective

The best way to tell how much a guy is into you is by how protective he is when he's around you. If he senses a threat he'll position himself so that you're shielded from harm, even if it's a more subtle move. It's not that he doesn't think you can't handle yourself, it's just a more traditional way for showing he's concerned about you and doesn't want to see you get hurt.

Plus it's also his way of showing you off as his girl. You're with him, he's proud of it, and he's willing to protect you from anything or anyone else. Chivalry at it's finest and every girl still appreciates that.
